Why children shouldn't travel....

Now before anyone starts to get all up in arms because they have kids and all that hear me out. I don't have them. AND at some point in your life you didn't have them either. My mother likes to tell people how when we were younger we knew better than to throw a tantrum in public...all she had to do was give us a look...So....

Would I love it if they booked flights specifically for families?
Yes!

Would I love it if everytime I went on a holiday there wasn't a screaming child somewhere on my transportation?

YES!
Does that make me Cruella Deville?

Maybe. SorryimNOTSorry.
See the thing is...while I completely understand that people have children and that shouldn't stop them from travelling I don't quite understand why it should take away from my vacation....Lets go with the latest example....

On my trip the Phillippines there was a very young baby on the airplane who screamed the entire take off and landing. I know there isn't much you can do when they are that young but I can only ask why you brought such a young baby on a flight to begin with...

Then...same trip mind you...
25 minutes into a 2 1/2 hour cramped ferry ride this toddler starts to scream. I don't mean a little whiney give me what I want and I'll shut up. I MEAN FULL ON TEMPER TANTRUM SCREAMING TILL I AM BLUE IN THE FACE for the rest of the ride. What about her family? Oh right...they just put her to the side and let her do it and ignored her as she climbed all over each one of them screaming. So. I spent some of my vacation time....away from the 30 children that I teach that occasionally have screaming fits of their own listening to a kid scream for over 2 hours.

Tell me that I should be more sympathetic now. Please do.

When I fly to Orlando to visit my family I know better than to get annoyed because its the same city as Disney World. I'm the weirdo flying there alone....

BUT

I can't lie when I say I wish children weren't allowed on certain flights and certain transportation methods. Like there were adult only flights, train rides, boats, and pretty much any other activity I like to enjoy without a screaming child.

So what did we learn from all this?

If you have a child you know likes to throw tantrums please do us and yourself a favor and stay home till they learn to keep that shit at home.

AMEN! I completely agree with all of the above. Last month I went to Mohegan Sun assuming when we spent the morning by the pool, it would be a few other equally as hungover adults. NO, apparently casino pools are FILLED with screaming children....I'm pretty sure there should be a 21+ pool in a place that designed for those 21+. Just sayin!!

YES!! I mean, I hate kids everyone knows this. But I especially hate them on planes. I want to open adult only EVERYTHING and I would make bank.

And for the record, I got taken on a plane to INDIA to meet my dying grandmother when I was 11 months old. And I didn't cry once. Because my parents knew how to handle me.
